Hope Paws Rescue
A life worth saving

Nina deserves to live her next years without pain.

After a life marked by suffering, Nina finally found love. Now she needs exams, treatment, and follow-up care to walk again with more comfort, safety, and dignity.

What happened

Nina was rescued from a rural property where she suffered abuse for many years. When she arrived, she was deeply traumatized, afraid of people, and always on alert. Her tail had been cruelly and unnecessarily cut. Even after so many years of love and care, some traumas are still with her: Nina is afraid of rain, thunder, and lightning, and when the weather changes she still goes into fear and insecurity. In spite of everything she endured, she remains incredibly gentle and loving. Now, at 10 years old, Nina lives with severe weakness in her hind legs. She spends much of her day lying down because she can barely get up on her own. Our greatest dream is to see her walk again with more comfort and dignity.

Diagnosis or urgent need

Nina urgently needs a specialized veterinary assessment to investigate the cause of the severe weakness in her hind legs. She has great difficulty moving, can hardly stand up by herself, and needs exams plus orthopedic and neurological evaluation to understand how to improve her mobility, relieve discomfort, and help her move with more safety. She also recently underwent head surgery to remove a skin mark or nodule that could have posed a health risk. Thankfully, she recovered well from that procedure.

Treatment plan

Ninaโ€™s campaign is now focused on veterinary exams, orthopedic and neurological evaluation, medication, physiotherapy, specialist follow-up, and mobility support. The goal is to relieve discomfort, improve her quality of life, and give her more comfort in the years ahead. Every donation helps cover consultations, tests, ongoing treatment, and everything needed to help Nina walk with more safety and dignity again.
